Ken Georgetti
President Canadian Labour Congress

"We think there's about 25,000 people on this lawn today. It's great to see you all here. Are you going to make some noise today? It's about time they heard a message that we're tired of cleaning up their messes. If they can't come to a consensus, we'll do it for them."

Gloria Hendricks
CAW Local 504

"I'm glad it's raining because it shows solidarity and it shows that we really are motivated for the cause."

Ken Lewenza
CAW President

"Well it's wet but there's an enthusiastic group of people here that know that they're defending the interests of most Canadians and most people throughout the world. I mean we really are protesting today for a more humane society not just in Canada but throughout the world."

Julie White
CAW Women's Director

"The women are here to lead this march today obviously in response to Harper's position around maternal rights. We're also talking about the cuts to the status of women, childcare funding all the stuff that Harper's been doing in the last 4 to 5 years since he's held a minority government."

Roxie Baker
CAW Local 1235 Retiree

"I'm here yes, part of the vanguard fighting for women's rights at the G8 G20 Summit and hope that our presence will make a difference."

Jodi Nesbitt
CAW Local 240

"Come with all the sisters. Come with our union. Come and bring some solidarity with the community and be part of this day."

Peggy Nash
Assistant to CAW National President

"We're here for economic justice, for social justice, for environmental justice."

Peter Kennedy
CAW Secretary- Treasurer

"Well everybody is out here to show their disdain for the leadership of the G8 G20 and their failure to really address the problems of working people, the homeless, those in society that are vulnerable."
