CAW Local 2002 members who work at Aeroplan have voted 67 per cent in favour of a new three-year agreement with the company that provides wage gains, a paid lunch and other improvements.
This first CAW agreement at Aeroplan provides wage increases of 3, 2, and 2 per cent per year at the top end of the pay scale and between 10 to 20 per cent increases per year at lower level pay scales.
In addition, the new contract provides for a paid lunch, union training, a women's advocate, E.I. top up for maternity leave, overtime and statutory holiday pay improvements.
"This is an excellent first agreement for our Aeroplan members, which provides a strong foundation to build on in future rounds of bargaining," said Local 2002 President Leslie Dias.
The agreement covers 900 workers at the company's two offices in Montreal and Vancouver. Aeroplan separated from Air Canada in 2005.
