Violence in The Workplace (One Day)
Violence: It's not part of your job description. And yet, too many workers are exposed to violence in the workplace -- from customers, patients, supervisors, clients, and co-workers. This brand new course has been developed for union activists who want to become more active in preventing and dealing with workplace violence. The course explores the extent and contributing factors of workplace violence; introduces tools for identifying and assessing workplace hazards; and outlines legislation, collective agreement language, workplace policies, and creative strategies for preventing and dealing with workplace violence. This course will be of particular use to CAW members who work with the public (for example, hospitality, retail, and transportation).
