CAW members at Cision Canada have voted unanimously in favour of a new collective agreement in a vote on July 22. The agreement concludes a more than two month long strike that started on May 5.
"The committee and membership did an outstanding job communicating their struggle to the public," said Bob Orr, assistant to the CAW national president.
The three-year agreement includes wage increases of two per cent in the second and the third years as well as enhanced severance packages for those who may lose their jobs through lay-off.
"The solidarity of our members enabled us to come out with the best possible deal," said CAW Local 567 President Stuart Ryan.
CAW Local 567 represents 25 members at Cision in Ottawa.
