African Heritage Month

February is African Heritage Month, a time to commemorate African Heritage and those individuals who fought to enrich it - changing the world for the better.

The CAW supports the work of the Community Unity Alliance (CUA) which is operating through The Children's Breakfast Club (TCBC).  CUA's message is clear:  "Black history is everyone's history 365 days a year."

This year the poster is focusing on Community " It Takes A Village To Raise A Child".  The poster has been widely circulated and is presented, each year, to the Prime Minister, Cabinet, and Leaders of the Opposition, Public and Catholic School Boards and many more.  The posters were posted at each of the Children's Breakfast Club locations. 

The aim is to continue utilizing the poster to highlight the contribution of individuals from the black community.  If you are interested in purchasing a poster or for more information, please contact your local union.
