Good Jobs for All Coalition Plans Rally to Fix EI

Hundreds of laid off workers in the Greater Toronto Area will rally outside an employment insurance office in downtown Toronto on March 5, in what will be the first in a series of demonstrations targeting the Harper government's inaction on fixing Canada's unemployment insurance (EI) system.
The rally, organized by the Good Jobs for All Coalition, will be held in front of the Service Canada Centre in Toronto located at 25 St. Clair Avenue East.

Unemployed workers and government employees dealing with EI claims are scheduled to speak at the rally, along with CAW President Ken Lewenza, CLC Executive Vice-President Marie Clarke-Walker and Winnie Ng, Co-chair of the Good Jobs for All Coalition and Coordinator of the Progressive Moulded Products Workers' Action Centre
EI rallies and town hall meetings are also scheduled to be held in London-St. Thomas (March 14), Scarborough (March 16), Hamilton (March 21) and Brampton, Ontario (March 31).
The Good Jobs for All Coalition is an alliance of more than 35 community, labour and student groups representing people throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
