This is a one of a kind, flexible program that allows local leadership to choose four workshops from a list of six choices (see blow) that are designed to provide concrete skills and inspire creative action in our fight to keep manufacturing jobs in Canada. Developing Communication Networks - looks at how technology and face-to-face networking can be used to keep members, activists and community allies connected.
Effective Campaigns - will look at the key steps involved in building a successful campaign - with emphasis on the need to plan strategically.
Creative Actions 101 - will look at examples of creative actions and challenge ourselves to come up with creative ideas for the Manufacturing Matters Phase 2 campaign.
Lobbying - provides a step-by-step road map for lobbying your municipal government to achieve a Buy Canadian procurement policy.
Media - focuses on developing strategies for dealing with the media including considering what reporters are looking and how we can communicate our message effectively.
