Women's Advocate - What you need to know!
A Women's Advocate is a referral agent. Her role is to help women who may have been sexually assaulted, sexually harassed, who are in violent relationships, or who may be suicidal, by referring them to community services. Women are five times more likely to speak with someone they know rather than a health professioanl when accessing resources for their issues. Advocates play an important role by assisting women facing violence or abuse in their relationships.
