Dave Blais
CAW Local 1917 Committee Person, Snowbear

"We've come down here to rally and try to set up a meeting with Catalyst to negotiate our severance and notification pay."

Gary Delong
CAW Local 1917 Chairperson Unit 15, Snowbear

"We have awesome support here with all the other locals that the boys have all pulled together and we've got some up stairs now hopefully getting some good news of Newton Glassman from Catalyst that we'll get our severance."

Robin Dudley
CAW Local 1917 President

"Most of the guys have been out of work for eight to ten weeks now. The total amount of severance is under five hundred thousand. Its like four hundred thousand and change and this company makes billions and deals with billions of dollars a day and they can't afford to give our members four hundred thousand dollars. I mean it just seems ridiculous."

Jim Robinson
CAW National Representative

"Snowbear had no intention of paying any severance. They were just keeping people out there and prior to the thirty-five weeks expiring, which is at the point in time when they would have owed our members the money, they have now gone into bankruptcy."

Jerry Dias
CAW Assistant to National President

"The bottom line is the embarrassment today, the demonstration today, the effort of everyone today certainly has paid dividends. It didn't give us the half a million bucks that we need the key thing is we did what we needed to do. That was to get their attention, schedule a meeting so we can start to work towards getting people some justice and at the end of the day if we don't get justice, we'll be back. Things like this only get fixed when there are people like us and people like you here prepared to fight for what is right. So on behalf of Ken, on behalf of Peter Kennedy you have no idea of how proud we are of you today. It is a fact that we have a way of pulling together and we fight like hell to make sure that nobody gets left behind. Thanks you all very much."

 Dave Funk
CAW Local 1917

"I think it was worthwhile coming here and I think we are making a stand. I am here until the end, that's all I have to say."

Shirley Cooper
CAW Local 1917

"We'll still fight and if we have to show up again we'll show up. If that's what it takes."
