CAW Economist to Appear before House of Commons Finance Committee

CAW Economist Jim Stanford will be appearing before a hearing of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance today, November 15, on the issue of inflation targeting at the Bank of Canada.

Stanford will be addressing the committee between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Room C-120, 1 Wellington Street in Ottawa and will be available for interviews after 1 p.m.

Stanford will be appearing alongside other private sector economists and academics, including Mario Seccareccia, Professor, Department of Economics, University of Ottawa; Craig Alexander, Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist for TD Bank Financial Group; Christopher Ragan, Associate Professor of Economics, McGill University and David Dodge Chair in Monetary Policy, C.D. Howe Institute; and Scott Sumner, Professor of Economics, Bentley University.
