Randall Garrison
MP Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca, BC

"It is my great pleasure to be here today to show my support for an incredible leader Peggy Nash. Peggy embodies the NDP values of social justice, environmental sustainability and prosperity for all. Peggy understands that Canada's future success will be determined by our ability to work together as a community and build a greener economy where no one is left behind."

Peggy Nash
MP Parkdale-Highpark, On

"This is a very critical moment. The choices that we make matter. The nature and quality of our leadership matters. I am entering the race because I believe that the next Prime Minister of Canada must be able to do two key things. First she is going to have to make sure that our economy works to the benefit of all Canadians not just the few at the top. Secondly in order to do that, she is going to have to be able to keep the Canadian economy stable and make it stronger. At the CAW I worked hard to make a difference in the lives of working people. I was able to bargain with large and small employers, improving the wages, the benefits and the working conditions of people right across this country. I know my way around a contract and I know my way around a budget and our next prime minister is going to need that kind of experience. We have an historic opportunity for progressives to move our country forward. To integrate our environmental responsibilities with our economic necessities. To restore nation to nation relations with our first nations, Inuit and Metis peoples. To take pride in our country and achieve real fiscal stability based upon equality. That is the hope I want to offer Canadians as leader of the New Democratic Party. Thank you very much merci beaucoup."
